The Health Question
Sets forth why the Bible must be the standard in all questions of health, and brings modern health and disease claims to that light, exposing where they cannot stand.
Bringing health and disease claims and the life of the body to the light of God’s word, that our ways may be ordered by His laws of health and the obedience of faith in Christ.
The God of heaven and earth has not left the health question to man’s guesswork. The laws of health are clearly revealed in nature, in man’s constitution, and in His Word. It is by transgression of these laws that the way of disease is prepared. Disease never arises without a cause, yet few trace their suffering to the true cause: the violation of natural law.
In the days of His earthly ministry, Jesus did not stand afar off from men’s sicknesses, but walked among the weary and diseased. He laid His hand upon the suffering and brought relief where before there had been little but disappointment. Yet the miracles He wrought upon the sick were never an end in themselves. His healings were always performed unto the strengthening of faith, calling men and women back into the order of life which sin has marred.
We seek to follow that same calling, proclaiming the invitation to return to the God who formed us from the dust of the ground. If you have grown tired of being pulled between so-called experts and wavering theories, or have found emptiness in a pursuit of health motivated and governed by self, this is an invitation to consider your health in the presence of Christ Himself, and to learn of Him what it truly means to be made whole.
Begin here. These three articles clear the ground and set the standard by which health and disease claims are to be judged.
Sets forth why the Bible must be the standard in all questions of health, and brings modern health and disease claims to that light, exposing where they cannot stand.
Tests contemporary stories about disease—germ and popular “terrain” alike—by Scripture and the Spirit of prophecy, showing which accounts accord with God’s laws of life and which belong to science falsely so called.
Traces how the laws of health, once received as light, bind the disciple in the concrete ordering of appetite, labour, rest, and simple means under Christ’s headship and the obedience of faith.
