About Health Reformed
Who we are
Health Reformed is a small, independent publication ministry devoted to setting the health question under the light of God’s Word. This is our primary office: to speak through written and related media, not as an institution or clinic, but as a ministry that brings health and disease claims, and the life of the body, to the same standard by which every doctrine must be judged—the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.
By what standard we speak
We receive the Bible as the only infallible rule of faith and practice. What is taught here concerning health is therefore not grounded in private impression, tradition, or human science as judge, but in what God has revealed of Himself in His Word, in creation, in the law contained in two tables of stone written with His own finger, and in the witness of the Spirit of prophecy. Other writings and experiences are to be weighed beneath that standard, not alongside it.
What we believe about the Gospel and health
We confess the Everlasting Gospel: one living and true God, the Father; His only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ; and the Holy Spirit as the great Agent in conviction and sanctification. We believe that salvation is wholly of grace through faith in Christ’s atoning death and risen life, and that the law of God is established, not made void, in the life of the believer. Within this framework, health reform has its place as the right arm of the message— not a way of earning acceptance with God, but a part of the obedience of faith and of the preparation of a people who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
How we view the body and the laws of health
We hold that the body is God’s workmanship, redeemed by the blood of His Son, and called to be a temple of the Holy Spirit. God has written plain laws into nature and into the very constitution of the body—laws of air, light, rest, movement, diet, water, temperance, and quiet trust in Him. These laws are not optional counsels for the few, but part of the standard by which all health claims are to be tried and by which the disciple’s daily life is to be ordered.
What this work does and does not offer
Health Reformed does not offer medical practice, diagnosis, or treatment. It does not prescribe individual protocols or take the place of personal judgment in matters of care. Its work is to clarify the standard, to test teachings and customs by that standard, and to press upon the conscience the duties God has made known. Questions of application in particular cases must be weighed prayerfully by each person before God, in the light of Scripture, the laws of health, and the duties of their station.
Why this is written
These writings are offered in view of the hour in which we live—the judgment now in session, the three angels’ messages going to every nation, and the approach of the final test between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. They are sent forth as both warning and help, that those who fear God may learn how to care for the body in a way that agrees with His Word and prepares them, in body and spirit, to stand in the day of God.
